Summary

In 1948 excavations were carried out at the site of the 19th century bombed houses located here. No medieval structures were found although a reasonable quantity of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds were retrieved.

On site of 19th century bombed houses.
No medieval structures found, though a 'fair amount' (1, 1948) of pottery in residual contexts.
The layers directly overlying the natural sand were producing 16th and 17th century pottery.
