Summary

Excavations here in 1973 as part of the Norwich Survey revealed medieval houses on the western part of two tenement blocks, with a yard on the eastern (13th-14th century) with a probable 10th or 11th century timber building beneath. However, this timber-framed building was unexcavated.

Unfinished trench revealed medieval houses on western of two tenement blocks, with yard on eastern (13th-14th century) with probable 10th or 11th century timber building beneath - unexcavated.
Site to be extended when rest of block (east to St Laurence Steps) redeveloped by Cohens.
Finds held by NCM.
