Summary

In 1973 a large hole was dug for an oil tank for Jarrolds printing works, and shallow foundation trenches cutting modern disturbance. Number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, glass fragments and a clay pipe were recovered, as well as a small number of Late Saxon pottery sherds.

1973. Large hole dug for oil tank for Jarrolds printing works and shallow foundation trenches cutting modern disturbance.
Bulk of the material found was from spoil from the oil tank hole.
Medieval to post medieval (including Delft, stoneware, Staffs. combed ware, Weser slipware). Late Saxon pottery. [1]

Continuation of 1973 site. Medieval to late post medieval pottery, glass and clay pipe.
