Summary

Aerial photography in June 1975 recorded a trackway of unknown date. Later Fenland fieldwalking at the site in March 1988 recovered prehistoric flints and two unrelated scatters of pot boilers.

22 March 1988. Fenland Fieldwalking. Conditions: good, ground drilled, weathered (south).
Odd flints across field. Context 1 at site NWD AU on (S1).
Context 2 at TL 7170 9657. Concentration of pot boilers (sparse to moderate) and on eastern edge a small group of flints probably not associated but recorded under this number. Pot boiler on side and top of ridge of stoney loam but flints in patch of sand. Total dimensions: 22m (east-west) x 21m (north-south). Reference NWD 38 on (S1).
Context 3 at TL 7176 9666. Concentration of pot boilers (sparse) on top and side of gravelly loam ridge. No flints observed. Area 45m (northwest-southeast) x 15m (northeast-southwest). Reference NWD 39 on (S1).
