Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a concentration of prehistoric burnt flints indicative of prehistoric occupation. This area has been identified as a glacial deposit that was exposed during the Mesolithic through to the Early Bronze Age. A post-medieval ditch can also be seen crossing this area on RAF 1946 aerial photographs.
