Summary

An imposing house with a complex building history. Most of what can be seen today is late 19th century, but the property's core is 17th century and retains some original features including the staircase. The sitting room is panelled with very fine Gothic Revival woodwork brought from Costessey Hall.

Listing Description:
Large C17 brick house with extensive late Cl9 additions in similar style with stepped gables and octagonal corner turrets with moulded brick pinnacles with onion-shaped finials. Mullion/transom windows. Large brick chimney stacks. Steep plain tile roofs. Two storeys and attic. The original house is revealed mainly on east side and has been added to on north, west and south sides.
