1996. Metal detecting. Context 1.
Medieval. Part of a rectangular repousse panel, showing an animal with short forelegs biting its ?tail or a ?plant stem. Traces of gilding on the higher relief parts. Perhaps part of a buckle plate - very nicely made.
Medieval buckle frame with narrowed offset bar now missing. Outer edge extended into triangular projection with two tiny lobes flanking grooved pin rest. Outer edge decorated with four rows of triangular punch marks. See (S1).
