Full Description
12 March 1988. Fieldwalking.
Identified by [1] at Context 1:
Three areas of 'pot boilers' [burnt flints] in a row. No measurements or samples taken.
Found by [1] at Context 2 ([2]):
5 prehistoric brown-stained flint flakes. Some retouch or heavy use on largest.
None diagnostic of any period or industry. All are unrolled so probably stained from peat, so doubtful that they are Palaeolithic, but they could be.
Identified by J. Wymer (NAU) 9 November 1988. Compiled by W. Milligan (NCM) 3 October 1988.
These flakes were reported in (S1) and were subsequently donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.22.15). They are also noted on (S2).
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 13 March 2014.
