Summary

This was the site of a small settlement during the medieval period, and is first mentioned in a late 13th century document. Field walking recovered prehistoric flints, pottery dating from the medieval and post medieval periods, lava querns and a buckle of unknown date.

This settlement is recorded as MED89 in (S2), and is first recorded in a late 13th century document, when it was leased at the annual rent of one clove of garlic!
