Summary

A medieval or post medieval hollow way is visible as earthwork on recent (2017) visualised lidar data. The site has also been recorded from field visits. The course of the hollow way is marked as a private road on the enclosure map of 1807.

The earthworks of a probable hollow way (see above), of a medieval to post medieval date are seen on recent visualised lidar data (S3). Sections of earthwork bank can be seen to the north of the hollow way (centred at approximately TF 8844 1234). The sections of bank may relate to the hollow way or to a possible post medieval boundary bank which may be associated with an area of woodland recorded on S4-S6. As the hollow way and sections of bank are visible on recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S3), it is likely that the features still survive as earthworks.
