Summary

Metal detecting in 1988 recovered a range of objects, including a medieval pewter spout, a decorated copper alloy possible casket strip, a post medieval cross-shaped mount and a sixpence of Elizabeth I.

May 1988. Metal detecting. Found at low tide.
Medieval bronze decorated strip with suspension loop and rivet holes. Function unknown. Stylised animal head bosses. Similar to casket strips from Castle Acre Castle.
Pewter animal-headed spout and collar 14th century. Tap missing. (S1) NCM.
Lead alloy bird shaped mount?
Bronze vessel leg.
Post medieval bronze cross shaped mount.
Sixpence of Elizabeth I 1582/3.
Initial mark bell.
