Summary

Metal-detecting along the line of the Thetford bypass in 1988 revealed Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval finds including an interesting pair of Middle Saxon or Late Saxon bronze tweezers.

Late Saxon finger or possible ear ring.
Medieval silver wire finger ring, copper alloy buckle, buckle pin and belt stiffener.
1 medieval coin.
6 sherds of Late Saxon pottery (Thetford ware).
Medieval pottery sherds including 1 St Neots, 35 unglazed and 4 glazed.
2 sherds of glazed red earthenware.
Undated circular lead weight.
