Summary
In 1988 a scatter of Roman and medieval pottery sherds were recovered from the stripped surface of the roadway at this location. Finds included a sherd of groggy Roman pottery and a sherd of medieval glazed Grimston Ware and several unglazed sherds, also of medieval date.

Full Description
1 July 1988. Stripped surface of roadway. Did not continue north or south of marked limits.
Scatter of pottery sherds.
One groggy sherd, probably Roman.
One glazed Grimston.
Four medieval unglazed.
One medieval peg roof tile fragment.
