Summary

A number of Mesolithic worked flints, including blades, microburins and a microlithic, found on road embankments. Burnt flints and sherds of prehistoric and medieval pottery were also recovered. The soil for these embankments was believed to have come from a nearby hill that was cut through by the new road.
