Summary

In 1979 earthworks were reported at this location, and these same features were noted on 1983 aerial photographs of the area. They do not relate to drainage, or appear to be the remnants of a medieval field system. As such their date and function is not known.

Site has appearance of having been ploughed and re-seeded in the past. Although there are undulations in the field, these do not conform to any medieval pattern as suggested in (S1).
