Summary

Fieldwalking in Steggles Wood in 1979 recovered sherds of medieval and post medieval pottery. However, it is uncertain whether the wood exists within Wacton or another parish, and thus the exact location of the finds is unknown.

28 October 1979. Fieldwalking by Wacton Field Group (NRC). Labelled as Steggles Wood, OS 456 and party 452. But OS field numbers in Wacton do not go this high and name not known. Possibly from another parish.
Thirteen medieval unglazed.
One medieval glazed.
Four glazed red earthenware.
One post medieval stoneware.
