Dug up in garden.
Heavy plaited gold ring probably Late Saxon, perhaps Viking, 10th to 11th century.
Identified by the British Museum (Medieval and Later Antiquities).
Information from King's Lynn Police.
Treasure Trove Inquest 25 August 1988, returned to finder in December 1988.

'Featured' on a BBC Antiques Roadshow.

Finder states that the object was found in soil moved from back (north) part of property to the south as part of development as a house and garden. Up until then meadows. See Notes for ngr.
