Summary

This timber-framed farm house dates to the 17th century. It had a cross wing added in the 18th century and has been subject to further alterations. The associated barn is of a similar date but unlike the house has not been listed. The building was demolished in 2008 and work on a replacement building was begun.

November 2008. Demoltion of the house.
During work to restore the farmhouse, several major problems were encountered, including the collapse of the main chimney, severe damp and major damage to the timber frame. A decision was taken to demolish the existing building and build a replacement dwelling with the same footprint and compatible appearance.
