Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1988 and 2001 recovered Mesolithic/Early Neolithic and undatable (potentially Late Bronze Age/Iron Age) worked flints; Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds and a medieval/post-medieval roof tile. Metal-detecting between 2010 and 2018 recovered a Late Iron Age/Roman coin (Roman issue) and a post-medieval jetton, and unknown, Late Iron Age to Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an unknown to post-medieval copper alloy nail, Roman brooches and a bracelet; medieval buckles, a silver seal matrix, rotary key, and harness pendant.
