1988. Casual Find.
A number of pottery sherds were recovered whilst digging pits for agricultural work. The pottery was recovered from the fill of the pits, which reached a depth of approximately three feet. The sherds were identified by W. Milligan (NCM) and included a body sherd and a rim or a handle from a green-glazed Grimston face jug, a ginger jar rim, and a wheel stamped sherd.
A quantity of animal bone and charcoal was also found in association with the pottery [2].
