Summary

Metal detecting on this site has recovered an assortment of Roman, Saxon, Medieval and post medieval metal finds including a very unusual Saxon lead inscribed plate which may be a funerary inscription. The layout of the text, between one or two crosses, may be unique amongst Anglo-Saxon inscriptions.
