Summary

Fieldwalking in 1989 retrieved sherds of Romano-British grey ware along with several pieces of medieval Grimston Ware, both glazed and unglazed.

22 February 1989. Fieldwalking. Western half of field ploughed, rolled and drilled but crop not shot; eastern half rolled and ploughed but rain had formed surface crust; soil dry. Moderate numbers of large flints overall. Weather bright and cloudy.
Roman sherds including Samian; medieval sherds.
