Summary

Fieldwalking at this location during 1989 retrieved sherds of Roman samian ware and an amphora fragment. Pieces of post-medieval Glazed Red Earthenware were also recorded. . Fieldwalking. Field ploughed and rolled; rain had formed surface crust; soil dry. Large numbers of flints over whole field. Weather sunny, cloudless for west half, sunny and bright with some slight cloud for east half. Roman and post medieval pottery. See list in file. M. Flitcroft (NAU) 22 March 1989.
