Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1989 recovered several prehistoric flints and numerous sherds of multi period pottery. Fragments of medieval glazed Grimston Ware and post medieval Basalt Ware were amongst the collection.

8 and 10 March 1989. Fieldwalking. Field ploughed and rolled; rain formed heavy surface crust; large qantities of flint. Weather bright overcast for northern two-thirds, bright overcast with some light rain for southern third.
Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post medieval sherds, tiles, worked flint.
