Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1989 recorded finds of Roman and medieval pottery as well as prehistoric flint pieces. One sherd was identified as Romano-British grey ware.

28 February and 1 March 1989. Fieldwalking. Field ploughed and rolled; soil dry; rain formed surface crust; large numbers of flint lumps. Weather dull, overcast with heavy rain for southern third, dull for remainder.
Roman and medieval sherds, worked flint.
