Summary

Fieldwalking between 1985 and 1987 recovered possible Roman and medieval pottery sherds. Metal-detecting between 2017 and 2022 recovered medieval coins; a medieval jetton and a number of other, Early Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an Early Bronze Age copper alloy very small flat axehead or chisel; a Roman lead steelyard weight; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval thimble and lead seal matrices; a medieval/post-medieval book clasp and copper alloy vessel repairs and a post-medieval sword-belt mount, spur fragment and lead cloth seal.
