Summary

Fieldwalking at this site in 2003 identified a discrete scatter of what the finder believed to be Iron Age pottery. Other finds recovered included many prehistoric worked flints, potentially prehistoric burnt flints and what were identified as Middle Saxon and medieval pottery sherds. Metal-detecting in 1989 and 2012 recovered a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead and a medieval copper alloy seal matrix.
