Summary

Metal detecting in 1985 or 1986 recovered a 9th century silver strap end with an animal head terminal in the Trewhiddle style. The terminal has ribbed edges and a central field decorated with symmetrical foliage springing from a central stem inlaid with niello. There are punched dots around the edges of the leaf motifs, and two silver rivets.
