Summary

In this area a number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds have been recovered, as well as a polished flint axehead which had been broken in two halves and used as mullers for grinding colour.

Around 1858. 'Found 43 feet (13.1m) down below the surface' in King Street, Norwich. Accession book says 'found in sinking well'.

Polished flint axe in two halves used as mullers for grinding colour. 10 inches x 3 1/2 inches x 2 3/4 inches. (25cm x 9cm x 7cm)
