Summary

In 1989 construction work on this site uncovered a post medieval soak-away, and a large two-handled glazed red earthenware pot, largely complete.

August 1989. Found while digging foundation trench for extension.
Large pot in glazed red earthenware; complete apart from one handle and base (knocked out). Set deep in ground about two feet (60cm) below present surface, in undefined feature. Presumably a soakaway. Height of pot
42cm, rim diameter 36cm. Two handled.
