Full Description
July to August 1989. Watching Brief.
Bushey Common to Saham Grove Gas Pipeline (Area 4).
Route walked following removal of topsoil and excavation of pipe trench monitored.
No archaeologically significant features observed in this section. Finds recovered were:
1 Mesolithic blunted flint blade.
1 ?Roman pottery sherd (reduced, light ?greyware sherd).
13 medieval pottery sherds (11 unglazed and 2 glazed Grimston).
1 undatable hone stone fragment.
Finds donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1998.242.1).
