Full Description
July to August 1989. Watching Brief.
Bushey Common to Saham Grove Gas Pipeline (Area 12).
Route walked following removal of topsoil and excavation of pipe trench monitored.
West of Manor Farm, north of moat:
Two possible late medieval Dutch imported sherds of glazed red earthenware
Seventy-two medieval unglazed sherds dated to the 13th century.
Twelve Grimston glazed sherds dated to the 13th to 15th centuries.
Two medieval glazed sherds.
One post medieval stoneware sherd.
Four glazed red earthenware sherds.
Two black glazed post medieval sherds.
One clay pipe stem.
Finds donated to Norwich Castle Museum.
