During a watching brief on the construction and laying of a gas pipeline medieval and post medieval pottery was found at this spot. This concentration of finds, including two possible late medieval Dutch imported fragments of glazed red earthenware and seventy-two medieval unglazed fragments dated to the 13th century may be evidence for medieval occupation in this spot.
