Summary

Metal-detecting between 1989 and 2014 recovered Late Iron Age, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as Roman, Early Saxon and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman glass-centre boss brooch with gilding and saltire motifs; an Early Saxon small-long brooch; a Late Saxon/medieval bit-link; a medieval openwork sword chape, a possible spur buckle, a buckle pin, brooch and rotary or casket key and a post-medieval cloth seal.

Roman oval glass centre-boss brooch. Black glass centre boss extant. Metal surround gilded and with saltire motifs. Reverse tinned. Single lug. Pin missing. 3rd or 4th century.

Medieval openwork bronze sword chape. Central rib ending in 'arrowhead' terminal; two openwork roundels and rectangular slot between on one side other side missing.
