Full Description
1989 or earlier. Stray Find.
Finds in molehills on Clarke's Acre, Neatherd Moor:
1 Palaeolithic primary flint flake. Rolled and with toadbelly patina. Condition puts this as Palaeolithic. Chipping on edges probably ancient damage and not secondary working.
1 Neolithic thick end scraper.
1 ?prehistoric 'pot boiler'.
Identified by J. Wymer (NAU).
These discoveries were reported in (S1) and the Palaeolithic flake is noted on (S2).
E. Rose (NAU), 10 October 1989. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 10 January 2016.
