Summary

Metal-detecting in 1989 and subsequently in 2012 recovered a post-medieval coin as well as Roman brooches and a medieval ring brooch, a seal matrix and a harness pendant and stud, which are both in the shape of a shield and decorated with enamel.

1989. Found with metal detecting.
Medieval copper alloy shield shaped stud (shank on reverse missing) with blue enamel (or azure cheeky?).
Medieval gilt copper alloy ring brooch. Six bosses, two containing white paste (presumably to secure glass pellets). This is a copy of a typical medieval brooch of gold or silver set with semi-precious stones.
14th century copper alloy circular seal matrix with facetted handle with a trefoil suspension loop. Motif of kneeling figure in profile, hand raised in prayer. Legend: AVE MARIA.
15th century gilt copper alloy shield shaped harness pendant, bar with two mullets on red enamel ground.
