Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting recovered finds dating from the Neolithic to the post medieval period. These include Neolithic worked flints, a 12th to 13th century swivel from a dog leash, a piece of medieval pottery, a medieval buckle plate engraved with the initials MR and a heart and a post medieval mourning ring. The ring was inscribed 'Jacob Boak Esqr Died 3 Feby 1812 Aged 71' on the back. Medieval and post medieval coins and tokens were also found.

Neolithic discoidal core and scraper. Identified by J. Wymer (NAU), September 1989.
Medieval sherd.
Edward I, II or III penny, London mint.
Late medieval bronze buckle plate with engraved initials MR and heart in between; three rivets. See (S1).
15th century French jetton.
Half a bronze swivel, animal heads on 'shoulders' for dog leash or similar, 12th to 13th century, and fragment of another swivel. See (S1).
Two post medieval bronze spoon bowls.
Two post medieval bronze buckles.
Nuremberg jetton 16th/17th century.
Wolf Lauffer jetton 1618-1660.
James I bronze coin weight for XI shillings; obverse I.R.M. BRITAN, reverse crowned XIS.
James I silvered bronze half crown, forgery.
Penny token Richard Dinmore and Sons 18th century.
Halfpenny token Chamberlin and Sons Norwich 1852.
Red gold mourning brooch, probably containing hair; inscription on reverse 'Jacob Boak Esqr Died 3 Feby 1812 Aged 71'.
