Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting recovered finds dating from the Neolithic to post medieval period. These include Neolithic flint flakes and blades, a medieval cauldron leg, medieval and post medieval buckles and post medieval thimbles. Medieval and post medieval coins and jettons were also found.

1989. Found in fieldwalking and with metal detector.
Crude bifacial flint tool and fifteen struck flint flakes. Prehistoric, probably Neolithic.
Identified by J. Wymer (NAU).

September 1989.
Medieval bronze cauldron leg.
Two late medieval bronze buckles.
Bronze attachment stud with trefoil terminal and lug for pendant attachment.
Three 18th century bronze buckles.
Four 17th century thimbles.
Eleven 18th/19th century thimbles.
16th or 17th century bronze white metal coated strap end or belt fitting with 'stiff leaf' ornament.

2 Early Neolithic blades.
3 post-medieval coins, 1 jetton, 1 buckle frame fragment, 1 crotal bell fragment, 1 spoon fragment, 3 lead cloth seals and 1 gilt ?ferrule.
