Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1990 recovered three Roman coins, part of a medieval buckle, a medieval harness pendant, medieval coins and token and a 14th century French jetton.

Medieval bronze buckle plate fragment.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
Medieval harness pendant attachment bar, decorated with moulded decoration and incised cross. Penny of Edward very worn and bent, counterstruck? Penny Edward I London mint (bifoliate end, fleurs on crown). Penny Edward II Durham mint, crozier indicates Bishop Kellawe 1310 to 1318. Penny Edward III pellet on breast, probably London mint, post treaty
1369 to 1377. French jetton 14th century AVE MARIA GRACIA PLENA. Lead boy bishop token, penny size, obverse: mitre, reverse: cross and three pellets.
Much 16th century and later material not recorded.
