Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1990 recovered a variety of finds including an Early or Middle Saxon buckle, a 13th century buckle, a 13th century Scottish coin and a 15th/16th century buckle.

Early Saxon/Middle Saxon 7th century bronze 'shield' buckle pin; point missing, loop on reverse broken, engraved decoration. Traces of silvering/tinning. To be photographed.

13th century bronze rectangular buckle-plate decorated with mythological beast in relief on enamelled ground. Two rivets.

15th-16th century double-looped decorated buckle frame fragment. Lobes decorated with punched dots.
