Summary

A mound, possibly a Bronze Age round barrow, was discovered in a cleared plantation in 1983. It is also visible as an earthwork on imagery from a lidar survey flow in 2015.

18m diameter, 0.80m high. Young pines planted on mound but to be removed.

The mound described above, which may be a Bronze Age round barrow, is only just visible on imagery from a recent lidar survey (S1) [1]. It is not particularly clear or well-defined. It is located at the northern end of an area of very uneven, 'lumpy' ground, and, if assessed on the basis of the lidar alone, appears more likely to be of natural rather than archaeological origin.
