Summary

Metal-detecting in 1990 and 2020 recovered a Neolithic part-polished flint axehead; Neolithic and Neolithic/Early Bronze Age worked flints; Roman and medieval coins and a number of other metal objects, including a Roman brooch; a Roman to Late Saxon finger ring; a medieval brooch, strap end, mount and lead seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy 'paper clip' vessel repair rivet and a post-medieval dress hook and furniture escutcheon plate.

Hod Hill brooch fragment. Upper bow only. Central rib, mid 1st century AD.

Halfpenny Edward I-III.
Identified S. Margeson (NCM)
Medieval ring brooch; decorated with engraved transverse lines; pin looped around narrow bar, copper alloy.
Copper alloy 'paper clip' rivet, vessel repair, medieval?
Late medieval rectangular white metal coated mount, copper alloy. Two iron rivets. Central hole (decorative). Front decorated with black letter inscription M ?I on ground of rocker arm ornament.
Lead circular seal matrix, loop on reverse and edge. +S'WIL'I FIL'LEVEDAIX around sexfoil.
