Summary

This public house dates to the 16th century with a 17th century rear addition and an 18th century single-storey block to the right. The building has a rendered timber frame on a flint rubble ground floor and a roof covered with pantiles. More recent rennovations in 1973 recorded no additional finds or features of archaeological interest.

Brick and flint. Pantile roof. T-shape plan. Two storeys, jettied at first floor at left-hand side. Parish boundary plates of 1710, 1813, 1814 and 1827.
