Summary

A 16th century and later three storey rendered timber framed house, now an office, with the date 1589 on a bracket. The building is not as large as it once was, thanks to the needs of the new tramway in 1899 that shaved off one side. The first and second floors are jettied on decorative brackets. The corbelled gable-end chimney to the left has a pediment above a tablet bearing the name Armada House and a representation of a 16th century ship. The cellar was added in the 18th century.
