Summary

No 1 Rosary Road is essentially a 15th century building with extensive later remodelling. The rendered façade has applied 20th century timberwork and the ground floor is of red brick and flint rubble. This two storey building has a twin gable-fronted pantile roof and two red brick chimneys. Inside there is a 15th century braced roof with collars and tie beams.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"House, now public house. 15th century with extensive remodelling. Rendered façade with 20th century applied timberwork; red brick with flint rubble on ground floor to rear. Twin gable-fronted pantile roof; two red brick chimneys.
Two storeys and attic; three first-floor windows. Half-glazed door has 20th century hood on consoles."

(S3) refers to a prison cell in the basement. This sounds a little imaginative and needs further investigation.
