Summary

This Masonic Hall dates to the early 20th century by Albert Havers. It has two storeys and five bays and is built from Bath stone. The central door has attached rusticated Tuscan columns and a rusticated surround with semi-circular fanlight. There are sash windows throughout with glazing bars but there are pedimented window surrounds at first floor level along with Masonic emblems spanning three bays.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Masonic Hall. Early 20th century by Albert Havers. Bath stone. Roof not visible. Two storeys, five bays. Central door with attached rusticated Tuscan columns, rusticated surround with semi-circular fanlight and curved broken pediment with central pedestal. Stringcourse at first floor with six columns above supporting heave entablature."

However (S2) in file apparently describing same facade, states that building is Late Georgian, purchased in 1881; Hamon le Strange Temple added 1905, Bishop Bowers Temple added 1920. Property apparently includes No.49 which is separately listed as 18th-19th century but is described as red brick, not Bath Stone.
