Summary

A lucky survivor of the fire of 1507, this building has a two storey street range dating to about 1480, a 16th century rear wing and 18th and 19th century additions and alterations. The front has two 19th century windows separated by a 19th century door. Also 19th century is the applied timber framing above, though the original timber frame is behind this. Beneath the rear wing is a 15th century brick undercroft. The ground floor room directly over this has good roll-moulded early 16th century bridging beams and joists.
