This building is amongst those listed in thesis (S2), which considers the 13th- to 17th-century buildings of Norwich. It is described as formed out of two 17th-century building, the block adjacent to No 1 drastically altered in the 20th century (when a passage was created at the rear of the building and the rear wall removed). The other building was constructed as a single-cell block with a gable-end stack that has now been removed. It is again noted that this building has the deepest jetty in the city.
