Summary

The National Westminster Bank was built here in 1924 by F. C. R. Palmer and W. F. C. Holden. The building has five bays in London Street, two bays plus a rounded corner bay and five bay extension in Bedford Street. The attic storey has turned balustrades and two urns and the central domed cupola is surmounted by wind-vane. The interior features fine detailing with a large central roof light.

"Bank. 1924 by F. C. R. Palmer and W. F. C. Holden. Stone flat roof. Triangular corner site. Single storey with attic storey in London Street. Five bays in London Street, two bays plus rounded corner bay and five bay later 20th century extension in Bedford Street."
