This building is amongst those listed in thesis (S2), which considers the 13th- to 17th-century buildings of Norwich. It is described as a three-storey building with a rear extension. The west gable and the side wall of the rear block are constructed of flint rubble to a height of two storeys.
It is only this, plus the relatively large first floor joists, that suggest a date earlier than the 19th-century façade.
