Summary

This single celled building dates to the 17th century although in the 18th century an extension waas added to the rear. It now operates as a shop and has a fine 19th century shopfront with a central recessed door. The roof has a box cornice.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Former use unknown, now shop. 17th century with 19th-century alterations. Red brick and pantile roof. Two storeys. Three bays. Good 19th-century shopfront with central recessed door with pediment and triglyph and paterne frieze. Additional door to left-side with simple surround and pediment supported on consoles."

This building is amongst those listed in thesis (S2), which considers the 13th- to 17th-century buildings of Norwich. It is described as a two-storeyed plus attic, single-cell building that probably dates from the 17th century. There is an 18th-century rear extension.
